Aoi toki
I don't have any lessons today.
I'll share about the book I read recently.
It was a biography written by a woman who used to be a very famous singer and actress, "Momoe Yamaguchi," the title was "Aoi toki."
I've discovered how she experienced spectacular life, and she was an intelligent and mature lady because she was only 22 when this work was published.
I looked over my 22; I was in NZ and was home staying with my host family.
At that time, I wasn't mature like her.
She retired from show business when she was 21; it was too young, but she chose another life with her loved one.
Although I was only a little girl then, I vividly remember that she put the microphone in the middle of the stage after singing her final song at her last concert because that scene was broadcasted repeatedly.
It was a legend.
After her retirement, she never appeared publicly and raised two sons; one became an actor, and the other became an actor and singer-songwriter.
What a strong-willed woman!
I admire her, and she and her husband are my role models.
They became a grandma and a grandpa last year.
I can imagine the situation they watch over their grandchild with tender eyes, the same as they have been doing to their sons.
After reading this book, I listened to her songs anew, "Kosumosu," "Iihi tabidachi," and "Sayonaranomukougawa," I felt like making sense of her emotions a bit, and sympathized and cried.
