観光船なんて！と思っていました。ごめんなさい、甘く見ていました。乗ってみるものです！　水面の風を感じるのも楽しいですし、水面からじっくり景色を堪能できます。

Aoibune　　~ the moat tour of the Sumpu Castle~

葵舟　　～駿府城のお堀ツアー～

Aoibune is a sightseeing boat that lets visitors enjoy viewing Sumpu Castle from its moat.

葵舟はお堀から駿府城を眺めることのできる観光舟です。

It started operating in March 2021 to promote the historical value around Sumpu Castle Park.

駿府城周辺の歴史的価値を上げるために、2021年の3月に操業を開始しました。

This area introduces Lord Ieyasu’s ruling period in Sumpu to the visitors.

この地区に来ることで訪問者の皆さんは駿府における徳川家康公が治めた時代を知ることが出来ます。

In addition, taking this boat lets visitors enjoy comparing the historical scene of the castle with the present-day modern buildings.

しかも、舟に乗れば、お城の歴史的な風景と今日の現代的な風景を比較して楽しめます。

The route is 1.6 kilometers around the inner moat of Sumpu Castle Park.

舟のルートは駿府城公園の内堀1.6キロです。

It takes about 30 minutes to go around it.

1周するのにおよそ30分かかります。

While taking the boat, the boatman explains about the stone walls, the water in the moat, the facilities along it, and so on.

舟に乗っている間、船頭さんが石垣やお堀の水、お堀沿いの施設についてなど、説明してくれます。

いつも見ているはずの石垣も船頭さんの解説でより楽しく観察できます。

This is a good experience to further enjoy and appreciate the history of Sumpu Castle.

これに乗れば、駿府城の歴史をより楽しんで、味わうことが出来ます。
