【横瀬町/協力隊】【動画・写真付】2月11日 地域の山の神さまが本当に降りてきた（A god really comes to the festival of the "Mountain God"...）

みなさん、こんにちは。
横瀬町地域おこし協力隊
ウェルビーイング担当のやすこです。

２月１１日（日）に
講元である１４区の阿左美区長よりご招待頂き
山の神の例大祭に参加させて頂きました。

江戸時代から先祖代々守られてきた社殿は
プライベートな敷地内に存在しています。

参拝を希望される際は
親族の方にご挨拶をして頂けますと幸いです。

それでは、ご紹介させて頂きます。

Hi guys. My name is Yasuko, and I am in charge of well-being for the Yokoze Town Regional Revitalization Cooperation .

On Sunday, February 11th, I was invited by Ward Mayor Asami of District 14 to participate in the Mountain God festival.

The shrine, which has been protected by our ancestors since the Edo period, is located on private land. If you would like to visit, please first greet the family.

Now, let me introduce you.

招待状 Invitation

１．山の神について：About the mountain god

文化・文政時代に建てられた山の神。
山の安全、五穀豊穣を祈願。

江戸時代に札所4番から札所5番の巡礼道中に妊婦が産気づき山の神の麓で無事出産したという言い伝えがあります。

それ以来、子宝の神様として崇められ、子どもを授かりたい方が安産祈願に参拝されるようになったとも言われています。

講元の友人もなかなか子どもが授からない中、山の神のお札をお渡ししたところ無事お子さんを身ごもり出産されたというエピソードがあります。

A mountain deity built during the Bunka/Bunsei era. We pray for safety in the mountains and a rich harvest. During the Edo period, a pregnant woman went into labor on the pilgrimage route from the fourth temple to the fifth temple. There is a legend that she gave birth safely at the foot of the mountain god. Since then, it has been worshiped as the god of fertility, and it is said that people who wish to have children come to pray for safe childbirth. A friend of the ward mayor was also worried about not being able to conceive, but after giving a charm to the mountain god, she was able to successfully conceive and give birth.

冬の武甲山はとてもきれい：I really like Mt. Buko in winter.

阿左美区長の家に集合：Gather at Asami Ward Mayor's house.

山の神のお札つくり：
Making a talisman for the mountain god
木版：
woodblock prints

和紙をお札の大きさに切ります：Cut the washi paper into pieces the size of a talisman.

木版に炭を塗る：
Apply charcoal to the woodblock print.

木版の上に和紙をのせる：Place washi paper on top of the woodblock prints.

バレンで押す：Press with a baren.

氏子の皆様です。They are parishioners of this shrine.

朱肉印：It is a vermilion stamp.

できあがり：It's done.

山の神の社殿まで登ります。：Climb up to the shrine of the mountain god.

山の神：mountain god

ご神木：sacred tree

神主が祝詞を奏上する。：The priest gives a blessing.

山の神降臨：The mountain god descends.

何かを感じてシャッターを押しました：I felt something and pressed the shutter.

光がすごい！：The light is amazing!

やっぱり冬の武甲山が好き：I really love Mt. Bukō in winter again.

山の神の例大祭のお手伝いと参加をさせて頂き、大変神聖な気持ちになりました。個人の私有地に江戸時代からの社殿があるなんて生きた歴史を感じました。また、何か感じた時にカメラのシャッターを押したら、山の神、ちゃんと降臨されていましたね。

神秘的で素晴らしい日でした。

I helped out and participated in the Mountain God Festival. I felt very sacred. The fact that the shrine building from the Edo period is on private land felt like living history. Also, when I felt something and pressed the shutter of my camera, it felt like the mountain god had come down.

It was a mysterious and wonderful day.
