[02:22] I do think we have to wait and see what the defense says and what proves to be true, but I do think if even half of it is true, then he is toast [* toast = someone or something that is finished // he is toast = 彼は終わりだ。もうだめだ ].   I mean, it's a pretty -- it's a very detailed indictment and it's very very damning.

[05:27] [* = アメリカでこれまでに新型コロナにかかった人数とコロナ後遺症の割合を説明している部分 ] According to government data, more than 100 million people in the United States have had covid. For most of us, it meant a few miserable days. But for about 15% of those who have gotten the virus, it's meant prolonged symptoms, what has come to be known as long COVID.

[09:12] it has been such a struggle for so many people and many of them have felt adrift in the health care system for some -- many for as long -- you know, for years. One patient who I talked to said that if you are lucky enough to find a physician who will listen to you, that's going a long way. But, so many times they are just sort of round -- it's like a round robin [* round robinはスポーツの総当たり戦。この文脈では、(ここなら確実に治療を受けられるというところがあるわけではなく)片っ端から全部試してみるという意味 ] of medical care trying to find someone who will listen to them instead of just saying it is all in your head and then get the kind of care that they need.

[17:20] Yeah, I think water birds are a wonderful example of how, when we take conservation actions into our hands and put some funding into it, we can really make a big difference. And the funding that's been coming in through hunters as well as duck stamps, [* duck stamp = an adhesive stamp issued by the United States federal government that must be purchased prior to hunting for migratory waterfowl such as ducks and geese...
see:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Federal_Duck_Stamp] which hunters need to acquire before they hunt but anybody can buy a duck stamp, that money goes back into the system and the Fish and Wildlife Service helps establish habitats and do conservation efforts that have helped water birds do so well. So, I think it's a great model to show that, if we know what we need to do, we can make a big difference.
