How come? : In generally, use this word when you have a question. Similar word is “why~?”But “how come”is more informally. It’s better that when you talking with your cross friends or family .

eg:)If you talk with your friends

A :Sorry,I was so late.

B:How come?

A:Because I got a traffic jam.

If you talking with your college.

A:I'm sorry to have kept you waiting.

B: No problem, but why were you late?

A:I took the bus but there was traffic jam.
