note で Evergreen note を試す

プロフィールにも書いた通り、私の個人的なブログの目的は「思考を言語化する規律」を習慣することであり、まずは規律を宣言することから始めるために、文章を書くときに気をつけることを言語化した。ここまで読んでお気づきの方も多いと思うが、各ブログ記事には別のブログ記事にリンクしていて、タイトルを一文にしている。すなわち note で Evergreen note を試しているのである。現状も試行錯誤のど真ん中である。

Evergreen note という概念に出会ってから自分の中でノートの取り方への考え方が変わった。具体的には理解するために書くようになった。そして、理解するために読んだことについて書くようになった。さらにノートは何度も読み返し必要に応じて何度でも更新されるべきであることを知った。私はサラリーマンだが知識労働者であると自認しており、より厳密に言えば知識労働者として成長したいので、この Evergreen note という考え方を取り入れることにしたのである。Evergreen note の習慣を身につけることによって知識労働者として成長し、どのような人間が周囲にいたとしても結果を出すことに繋がると期待している。

私は昔からノートを取る習慣を身につけているものの、滅多に過去のノートを見返すことがない状態になってしまっており、あまりノートを取る習慣を活用できていないと感じていた。そこで、Evergreen Note の考え方を取り入れることによって、ノート同士を繋げることを意識したり、過去のノートを不定期に見返す習慣を身につけようと試みている。

Evergreen notes are written and organized to evolve, contribute, and accumulate over time, across projects. This is an unusual way to think about writing notes: Most people take only transient notes. That’s because these practices aren’t about writing notes; they’re about effectively developing insight: “Better note-taking” misses the point; what matters is “better thinking”. When done well, these notes can be quite valuable: Evergreen note-writing as fundamental unit of knowledge work.

This concept evolves in large part from Niklas Luhmann’s Zettelkasten, which he regards as the independent intellectual partner in writing his 70 books.
