英語と日本語で感想文を書きます。
I found the whole 7 chapters are a prelude to the last chapter 8, which articulates what Bitcoin is all about: how and why the currency without any national authority, which passes beyond borders, exists only on the Internet, has been on the rise.
Originally the essence of credit is: invisible, appearing out of nowhere, and unpredictable(just as described with the examples of Greek myths).
Just as cigarettes functioned as currency in the POW concentration camp during the World War 2 mentioned in Richard Radford's documents, we have needed something like that in the 21st century.
The last question asked by the author is more fundamental: what is true happiness?
If there was a machine that is able to create “happy life in Virtual Reality",
do you really want to use the machine?
And does that artificially-created happiness have any important meaning?
Can we truly be satisfied with that?
My conclusion is: Eventually, high technology or civilization seems to have great power but gives little influence on our happiness. There is something that can never be bought or sold with money. Economics is of course not almighty but we can use it as wisdom or tools to give meaning to our life.

「父が娘に語る経済の話」を読み終えました。
全8章から成る本ですが、7章までは全て、最終章の序曲ということがだんだん分かってきました。
最終章はビットコインについて説明しています。このビットコインという、いかなる特定の国の権力も後ろ盾にせず、ネット上に存在し、国境を超えていける通過が、なぜ、いかにして現代必要になったか？を書くのが、本書の最終的な目的だと思います。
その中で、お金の信用とは、本来目に見えないもので、どこからともなく現れ、ギリシャ神話の例えを用いて語られていたように、予測不可能だという本質的なことも描かれていました。
最後の問いかけは、もっと人間存在の根幹に関わることー真の幸福とは何か？というものです。
幸せな人生を生み出してくれる、魔法の機械があったとしましょう。
あなたはその機械を使いますか？
そうして生み出された幸せに、意味などありますか？あなたはその幸せに満足できますか？
私がこの本を読んで確信したのは、科学技術や文明は一見、すごいパワーを持つように見えますが、幸福に与える影響は、ほぼない、ということでした。
また、世の中には、お金で買えるものと買えないものが存在します。
たとえ経済学が万能ではないとしても、私達は経済学を有益な知恵として、人生に意味を与える道具として使いこなしていける。その可能性に意味を感じました。
