宗旦の一畳半茶室🍵

宗旦は利休の孫で、現代に続く三千家の礎を築いた茶人です。

一畳半は利休が聚楽屋敷で初めて建てましたが、宗旦が建てたのは床なしの一畳半。

大名に仕えて知行を得ず、生涯在野を貫いた人。利休の侘茶を深化し、確立させる道を選びました。

「花も掛物も要らぬ」

一切の座敷飾りを返上し、もてなす術は茶湯のみという境地。

この一畳半はそうした侘化を徹底させた茶室です。

It is a tea-room made by Soutan who is grandson of Rikyu.
It is the size of one tatami mat and half size, and there is no tokonoma alcove, which is characteristic.
Soutan made the foundation of a tea-ceremony that continues until today.
His belief is "I do not need flowers or hanging scrolls."
He is one of pure innocent tea-masters who have got the frontiers of Wabi.
