【Switzerland #02】ハイキング in ツェルマット, スイス/Scenic Hike from Gournergrat to Zermatt
On a bright summer day, I found myself in Switzerland, ready to embark on a hike from Gornergrat to Zermatt.
Start of the Journey
I started my journey at Zermatt, a car-free village that has retained its old-world charm. With its quaint chalets, winding alleys, and the ever-present silhouette of the Matterhorn, Zermatt was the perfect start to my hiking adventure.
traveled with Peak2Peak Pass
Matterhorn Glacier Paradise
My journey started with the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise, the highest cable car station in Europe. It offered an up-close view of the Matterhorn and surrounding peaks. The sight of the vast expanse of snow and ice was awe-inspiring.
My journey continued with a ride on the Gornergrat Bahn. As the train chugged up the mountain, I was treated to panoramic views of the Swiss Alps, their snow-capped peaks glistening under the sun.
The Journey to Gornergrat
Stepping off the train at Gornergrat, I was at an elevation of 3,089 meters. The sight that greeted me was breathtaking - a sweeping view of the glaciers and Matterhorn, one of the most iconic mountains in the world.
The Trek to Zermatt
I started my descent towards Zermatt. The trail was well-marked and wound its way through alpine meadows dotted with wildflowers andpast gurgling streams.
