英語 | 気になった比較級・最上級の使い方

 　最近しばらくの間、David Hume, "Selected Essays," Oxford World's Classics を読んでいる。

　この中に、'Of the rise and progress of the arts and sciences' というエッセイが収録されているが、文法的にちょっと面白い表現があった。
　比較級と最上級の使い方だが、２箇所を引用してみます。
