2025年春学期、どの授業取ろうかなぁ🧐ってリストを見ていたら、どれも面白そうすぎて…本当に選びきれない…
最後の学期なので絞りたくない…って色々考えた結果、履修する授業は4つ、時間ある時に聴講する授業3つ、のスケジュールで動こうと思っています（ただの理想）
だけど、本当にどれもすごく面白そうな授業なので、授業タイトルと授業内容の説明（DeepL翻訳付き）をコピペして、私の感想一言書いておこうと思います。
（正直リスト公開していいのかわからないから、なんかヤバそうだったらすぐ消します笑）

Gender, sex, and power shape and influence our cultural and social world in obvious and in hidden ways. Bay Area artists and activists focus on illuminating, shifting, redefining, and making use of the juncture of gender, sex, and power to bring about new opportunities and new futures. We will first explore the terrain of academic definitions of gender, sex, power and the connections among them, emphasizing how gender/sex/power is interlinked with racism, classism, colonialism, and dis/ablism. Topics addressed will include: labor, migration and belonging; food, shelter, and land; health and health care; sexuality and love; and politics and political action.

The production of gender, sexuality, and processes of racialization in contemporary global political issues. Topics and geographical foci may vary. Examples: the post-9-11 situation in the U.S. and U.S. wars in Afghanistan and Iraq; Hindu-Muslim conflict in India; the wars in the former Yugoslavia and Rwanda; the Israel/Palestine situation; global right-wing movements; state and social movement terrorisms and transnational "security" measures.
現代のグローバルな政治問題におけるジェンダー、セクシュアリティ、人種化のプロセスの生産。トピックや地理的な焦点は様々である。例：9.11以降の米国情勢と米国のアフガニスタン・イラク戦争、インドのヒンドゥー教徒とイスラム教徒の対立、旧ユーゴスラビアとルワンダの戦争、イスラエル・パレスチナ情勢、世界的な右翼運動、国家と社会運動のテロリズムと国境を越えた「安全保障」措置。

💛Decolonizing Gender & Sexuality
ジェンダーとセクシュアリティの脱植民地化
This small 2 credit course will be constructed around both GWS and non-GWS talks and events on our campus pertaining to the topic of decolonizing gender and sexuality in spring semester 2025. The course will include student active participation in organizing GWS’ transnational, transdisciplinary conference on “Decolonizing Gender and Sexualities: Epistemes, Subjects, Relationalities, Artivisms, Practices, Movements,” which will take place on Monday March 10, 2024 and Tuesday March 11, 2025. Your professor is the main organizer of this conference. Students will have a chance to learn from many different speakers throughout the semester, but also - for the GWS conference – to learn how an academic conference is organized, to participate in activities such as creating and spreading conference publicity, to welcome and spend time with conference participants, and to attend both days of presentations and related events.

履修したいけど、授業数を最大限とりたい私にはちょっと都合がつかなかった…悔しい。

In this course, students will learn to do feminist research using techniques from the arts, humanities, social sciences, and sciences. The teaching of interdisciplinary research skills will focus on practices of gender in a particular domain such as labor, love, science, aesthetics, film, religion, politics, or kinship. Topics will vary depending on the instructor.

Feminist theory examines the basic categories that structure social life and that condition dominant modes of thought. Feminist theory engages with many currents of thought such as liberalism, Marxism, psychoanalysis, postcolonial theory, and transnational feminist theory. In this course, students will gain a working knowledge of the range and uses of feminist theory.
フェミニズム理論は、社会生活を構造化し、支配的な思考様式を条件づける基本的なカテゴリーを検討する。フェミニズム理論は、リベラリズム、マルクス主義、精神分析、ポストコロニアル理論、トランスナショナル・フェミニズム理論など、多くの思想潮流と関わっている。このコースでは、学生はフェミニズム理論の範囲と使用法について実務的な知識を得る。
「a working knowledge of the range and uses（使用法と実務的な知識）」っていうのがとても気になる。
理論を抜けて、実社会に持っていくところまで学べるの、すごくいいな。
💜Asexual Theory & Practice

Though commonly defined as “one who does not experience sexual attraction," close examination of the keywords “asexual” and “asexuality” quickly give way to a growing array of meanings, feelings, affiliations, associations, and disruptions in both life and literature. This course explores how asexuality impacts our popular, embodied, and abstract understandings of sexuality, romance and aromance, gender, health, ability, race, nation, and violence. This course prioritizes the intersections of asexuality with blackness, disability, literary and visual analysis, and critical theory.
一般的に「性的魅力を感じない人」と定義されていますが、「アセクシュアル」や「アセクシュアリティ」というキーワードをよく調べてみると、生活や文学の中で、さまざまな意味、感情、所属、関連、混乱が広がっていることがわかります。このコースでは、アセクシュアリティが、セクシュアリティ、ロマンス、アロマンス、ジェンダー、健康、能力、人種、国家、暴力について、私たちの一般的、身体的、抽象的な理解にどのような影響を与えるかを探求する。このコースでは、アセクシュアリティと黒人性、障害、文学的・視覚的分析、批評理論との接点に重点を置く。
これ、私が履修しようと思ってるやつ。
セクシュアリティの中の一つに焦点を当てて、そのテーマで１学期間授業があるなんて、日本ではあり得ないくらい狭い分野。
同性愛やトランスジェンダーならまだ可能かもだけど、まさかのアセクシュアル！日本なら、そもそもこの意味を知ってる人が少ないだろうに、こんな授業があるんだ、ってものすごく驚いた。
🤍Iconic! Black Genders, Creativity, Feminism And Technology
アイコニック！黒人のジェンダー、創造性、フェミニズム、テクノロジー
This course offers an overview of a set of innovative connections of signs, subjectivities, collective movements, cosmologies and technologies as creative practices developed by black people in the African diaspora that engage with (un)gender(ing/ed) blackness. This will be a transdisciplinary approach that intersects race, gender, sexuality, class, disability and (trans)nationality through the discussion of afro diasporic transmediatic texts such as poetry, memoir/nonfiction, scriptures, photography, film, art, performance and the remixing, circulation and encoding of race/gender in new technologies. We will make a comparative analysis of archives from the US, Brazil and African countries such as Angola and South Africa.

ちょっと翻訳難しい。
This course will situate the politics of restricting abortion rights in the US within larger issues of politics, economy, society, and culture. The syllabus is constructed to interrogate how and why reproduction became a politicized issue. What the Reproductive Justice Movement is and how it is connected with a range of other social movements. How the history of slavery, settler colonialism, racism, eugenics, and pronatalism have influenced the fights over control of fertility in the US and what people are doing in other parts of the world to claim and protect reproductive autonomy.

日本の妊娠中絶に関するトピックに色んな批判意見がある私にとって、ものすごく興味ある。（例えば、危ない手術方法とか、パートナーの同意が必要なこととか。）
時間的に履修登録はしなかったけど、１回目の授業聴講して面白そうすぎたら、他のを落としてこれとる。
🩵Film, Feminism, And The Avant-Garde
映画、フェミニズム、アヴァンギャルド
Focusing on the creative process while engaging in critical debates on politics, ethics, and aesthetics, the course explores the site where feminist film-making practice meets with and challenges the avant-garde tradition. It emphasizes works that question conventional notions of subjectivity, audience, and interpretation in relation to film making, film viewing, and the cinematic apparatus.
政治、倫理、美学に関する批評的な議論に関わりながら、創造的なプロセスに焦点を当て、フェミニスト映画制作の実践が前衛的な伝統と出会い、それに挑戦する場を探求する。映画製作、映画鑑賞、映画装置との関連において、主観性、観客、解釈に関する従来の概念に疑問を投げかける作品に重点を置く。

Focusing on the interconnected ways that race, gender, and sexuality are constructed through the law, this course will examine a wide range of historical texts, legal documents, literature, and critical theory. Throughout our course readings, we will be focusing on how these categories of difference inform legal constructions of nation, citizenship, immigration, masculinity, femininity, childhood, the public sphere, and everyday life. Throughout the course, we will be making connections between historical events and the contemporary moment through a consideration of interpretation and implications of legal arguments.

This course uses gender as a lens to examine the nature, meaning, and organization of work. Students learn varied conceptual approaches with which to probe such issues as gender and race divisions of labor, the economic significance of caring and other forms of unpaid labor, earnings disparities between men and women, race and class differences in women's work, transnational labor immigration, and worker resistance and organizing.

Drawing upon contemporary theories of representational politics, the specific focus of the course will vary, but the emphasis will remain on the intersections of gender, race, nation, sexuality, and class in particular cultural and critical practices.

This course introduces students to the long history of the prison in the American experience, and does so by engaging ideas, movements, and practices to craft worlds of care and mutuality beyond the harms that the prison produces and legitimates. Taking a broad interdisciplinary approach, the course engages with the full range of “carceral geographies” in which social life is penetrated with the state’s power to surveil, arrest, judge, and punish its citizens; as well as the “abolition geographies” that, in Ruth Wilson Gilmore’s terms, combine resources, creativity, and commitment to create freedom as a place where all life/lives are precious.

This course examines interpretive issues in studying the history of sexuality and the formation of sexual identities and communities. Considering primary documents, secondary literature, and theoretical essays, we investigate specific historiographical concerns and raise questions about historical methodology and practice.
このコースでは、セクシュアリティの歴史、セクシュアリティ・アイデンティティとコミュニティの形成を研究する際の解釈上の問題を検討する。一次文献、二次文献、理論的エッセイを考慮しながら、歴史学的な特定の関心事を調査し、歴史学の方法論と実践について問題を提起する。

💜Theory And Critical Research

This course will provide an opportunity for the examination of diverse feminist theories produced in different disciplines and across disciplines. The course will ground contemporary philosophical and theoretical developments in the study of gender to specific histories of class, race, ethnicity, nation, and sexuality. Participants in the class will be urged to draw upon their own disciplinary and interdisciplinary backgrounds and interests to produce multifaceted analyses of how feminist theory has acted to delimit the study of women in some instances as well as how it may be used critically and imaginatively to open the field in complex and dynamic ways. Graduate students research and write a substantial (25-50 page) paper for the course. They will also participate in organizing and leading class discussion on a rotating basis.

🤍Advanced Interdisciplinary Studies - Fanon And Feminism
学際的研究特論 - ファノンとフェミニズム
This course will explore Frantz Fanon’s books, clinical notes, and other fragments of his writing to understand how he theorized gender and sexuality within the context of the colonial encounter. By staying with Fanon’s question of revolutionary violence, students will trace how contemporary thinkers have opened his texts toward a reading of decolonization as the necessary and contested work of feminism. The course will pay close attention to how Black trans/queer theory has worked with, and at times adjacent to, Fanon’s writing.

一人の人間の著書とフェミニズムに注目するの、絶対面白いじゃん。
そういえばこの前、経済学部の友達が、授業始まるの嫌すぎる…将来のために学んでるけど楽しくない…って話していて、学んでいる学問を【楽しい・幸せ・好き】って感じられることがいかに素晴らしいか、ハッピーな人生にしているのか、感じました。
私ってラッキー✌️
そもそも世界ランキングがレベチなバークレーで2学期間も勉強できることに感謝です。
というか、このご時世、特にpublic university（公立大学）で、この学問は意味ないからなくすって某権力者が言い始めてもおかしくない世界になっていて…
この脆い地面の上に立っていることを自覚すると、余計に、ジェンダー・セクシュアリティについて勉強できていることがありがたく思えます。
今学期も、先学期みたいに楽しくいっぱい学べますように🍀
