あるアメリカ先住民シャーマンの物語：
数年前に初めて広島を訪れた時、原爆ドームの前の相生橋を渡っていた時のこと。（相生橋は原爆投下の目標とされていた橋）
一人の老女が自分に向かって歩いてきたそうだ。お互いの顔を見てびっくりし、動けなくなった。そして駆け寄り、抱き合ったという。全くの見ず知らずの二人なのに、姉妹だったとわかった。何十年もの時を経てやっと会えた二人だった。
愛し合う魂は、巡り巡って必ず再会するという。

I met you, I met you on that bridge
あなたに会えた、この橋の上で
You met me, you met me on that bridge.　
あなたは私をみつけた、この橋の上で

You found me and I found you.　
あなたを見つけた、お互いを見つけた。
At the same moment, we see each other.　
同時にわかった、お互いが何者であるかを。

I once were to meet you on this bridge.　
かつてこの橋の上であなたに会うはずだった。
You once were to meet me on this bridge.　
かつてこの橋の上で、私に会うはずだった。

But we could not hug, and 　だけど抱き合えなかった
I lost you forever, and 　永遠にあなたを失った
You lost me forever.　あなたも永遠に私をうしなった

It was a bright light like the heaven, wasn't it?　
天国のような眩しい光の中だったのに?
