創造力と独創性を加えると写経が楽しい。【仏画曼陀羅アート】 Sutra is fun when you add creativity and originality. [Buddhist Mandala Art]

むかし、学生生活を京都で過ごしていたころ、爺くさい性格から寺めぐりが趣味だった。そのときに写経を体験し、たまにするようになった。 

Once upon a time, when I spent my student life in Kyoto, I had a hobby of visiting temples because of my old personality. At that time, I experienced the sutras and started to occasionally.

いま風に言うなら、行きつけのＢＡＲに顔を出す感覚で、行きつけのＴＥＲＡができた。坊さんの知り合いも増え、いろいろと手ほどきも受けた。あるとき、ちょくちょく顔を出していたものだから、ある坊主に「坊主になる気ないか?」と言われ、坊主も悪くないな～って思ったこともあった。 

To put it another way, I was able to make my favorite TERA as if I were visiting my favorite BAR. The number of acquaintances of the Buddhist monks increased, and I received various instruction. At one point, I used to look up a lot, so I was asked by a priest, "Do you want to be monk?".  And I thought that the priest wasn't bad either.

二十数年前に、大阪の仕事場を、京都のあるお寺の花の教場として提供していた。そのご縁で、再び写経をするようになり、遊びがてら京都によく出かけていた。年をとっても、爺くさい性格は歳とともに育まれていった。

Twenty years ago, I offered the workplace of Osaka as a teaching ground for a flower in a temple in Kyoto. With that connection, I started to copy sutras again and often went to Kyoto for fun. As I grew older, my older personality grew with age.

前段が長くなったが、いま取り組んでいる一つに、写経をもっと楽しく続けるための方法として考えたのが「曼荼羅絵図」という写経。般若心経と仏画を組み合わせ、それに創造力やオリジナル性という要素を加えると写経が楽しくなる。それが「仏画曼陀羅アート」である。

The previous stage has become longer, but one of the things I am working on now is to think of a way to keep the sutras more fun, called the “Mandala Pictorial”. Combining Hannya Sutra with Buddhist paintings and adding elements of creativity and originality will make the sutras fun. That is "Buddhist Mandala Art".

前回の投稿に続いて、今回は写経用紙を新しく作った。中央部分に円を描いて、それぞれの円の中に、他の円とは異なる大きさの般若心経を書いた。中心部になるに従い小さくなっていく。最終の円は直径が約20㎜、その中に小さな如来様を描いた。
これは手本でもなんでもない。写経の好きな人が自由な発想で楽しんでいただくための参考本である。

Following the last post, this time I made a new copy of Sutra. I drew a circle in the center, and in each circle I wrote the Hannya Sutra of a different size from the others. It gets smaller toward the center. The final circle had a diameter of about 20 mm, and a small Buddhist statue was drawn in it.
This is not an example. This is a reference book for people who like the Sutra to enjoy it freely.
