独創性あふれる「お仏札」作り。 【仏画曼陀羅アート】 Making original amulet. [Buddhist Mandala Art]

「仏画曼陀羅アート」の体験会では、参加していただくほとんどが写経も写仏も初めての方たちばかりです。写経はしたことはあるが、写仏は初めて。また、写経もしたことないが興味がありこの機会に、という方々が多い。

Most of the participants in the “Buddhist Mandala Art” hands-on experience are new to the Sutras and Buddha. I've been a sutra, but this is the first time I've ever copied a Buddha. Also, there are many people who have never taken a copy and are interested in this opportunity.

その体験会の課題の一つとして「お仏札(御守り)」作りをしていただいています。半紙サイズの和紙を使い、まずお札になるように折り、中面に仏画と般若心経を書き写していただきます。

As one of the challenges of the experience meeting, we have you make a "amulet". First, use half-size Japanese paper, fold it into a amulet, and copy the Buddhist painting and Hannya Sutra on the inside.

仏画並びに〆に使う守護梵字は、それぞれの干支にちなんだものをお勧めしています。例えば、未・申年の方なら大日如来(写真)とか。それぞれの干支で守り本尊が決まっているのでお札にするのには最適です。

It is recommended that the guardian character used for Buddhist paintings and sealed is associated with each zodiac. For example, Dainichi Nyorai (photo) if you are a sheep and monkey person. Each zodiac has its own guardian deity, so it's perfect as a amulet.

中面に描く仏画と般若心経の構図は自由。まず仏画を写し、そのあとに276文字の般若心経を書きますが、字の大きさ、場所などはそれぞれが考え、想像力や独創性を楽しんでいただくようにしています。

The composition of the Buddhist painting and Hannya Sutra drawn on the inside is free. First, I make a copy of a Buddhist painting, and then write a 276-character Hannya Sutra, but I think about the size and placement of each character, so that each person can enjoy their imagination and originality.

般若心経以外に、本尊の仏画に寄り添うように、それぞれの祈願文や人名などを書き添えることもお勧めしています。

It is also recommended that you write down each prayer words and person's name so that you can get closer to the Buddhist paintings of the main deity, in addition to the Sutra.

お札用の仏画曼陀羅 /  The composition of the Buddhist painting and Hannya Sutra

書き終わり、お札を帯で閉じますが、その帯はお札用に折った際に、上の部分約5㎜ほど切り、それを帯に使います。帯で閉じる前に、両サイドに梵字を半分ずつ描き、閉じたときに一つになるようにします。そして帯で閉じます。それで終了です。

After writing, close the amulet with a band, but when you fold it for amulet, cut the upper part about 5 mm and use it for the band. Before closing with the band, draw half the Sanskrit characters on each side so that they will be one when closed. Then close it with a band. That's it.

閉じたお札の中身を表示(写真)させたい方は、閉じて合わせた一部分を切って中が少しわかるようにするのも面白いかもしれません。

If you want to display (photo) the contents of a closed amulet, it may be interesting to cut the part of the amulet that has been closed to make it easier to see the inside.
