Hurricane Ian has knocked out Cuba's electrical supply and is now heading towards Western Florida threatening dangerous floods and tidal surges.
Winds are expected to gust to up to（最大風速）260 km per hour.

Russia threatened to veto any UN Security Council resolution condemning its self-start referendums in occupied regions of Ukraine.  The US said the votes overwhelmingly in favor of joining Russia are a sham.

India has banned for five years a prominent Muslim organization accusing the Popular Front of India （インド人民戦線）of having links with terror groups.  The ban came after raids on（強制捜索）their premises.   The group denies accusations of violence and terrorism.

The International Monetary Fund, the world's most important financial institution has criticized the British government's plan for tax cuts.  It says they are risky and could increase inequality.
