秋から冬にかけて寒さが厳しくなるこの時期に、ポッとお天気が良くなり気温が上がる今日のような日のことを、英国では「インディアン・サマー」というんだって。

なぜかは、諸説あって定かではない。

日本語なら「小春日和」。

近くに住む日本人の友達が、紫蘇と三つ葉の小さな苗を分けてくれた。

収穫が楽しみだな。

People in the UK call an unusually warm spell in October or November as "Indian summer", as to why is not certain.

We Japanese call it as "Koharubiyori (;small spring day)".

Today I got a lovely gift from my friend.
