虹の方へ進もうとするが強烈な力によって押し戻された 
     Toward the rainbow
     I began to walk, but some strong
     Force pushed me back

空中には何もいないのに地面では魚の群の影が差している
     Though there are no fish
     In the air, their shadows are
     Swarming on the ground

肉食の蝶が地面の蟻などの小さな虫を捕らえて食べる
     Some butterflies have turned
     Carnivorous, feeding
     On small insects like ants

窓ガラスに蛸が頭を打ち付けてぼむぼむぼむぼむ音を立てている
     An octopus is
     Beating the window pane
     With its soft head

複数の人が同時に同じ夢を見ていてたまに一緒に笑う
     Several people are
     Dreaming the same dream, sometimes
     Laughing at the same time

太陽の反対側に虹のように巨大な一つの目が現れる
     Like a rainbow, an eye
     Appears in the opposite
     Direction of the sun

一足ずつ靴にバナナが棲んでいてのけようとすると激しく怒る
     A banana is
     Living in each shoe. It snarls,
     When we try to oust it

青空に塩をまいたら星々がまだ昼なのに姿を見せた
     When I scattered salt
     On the blue sky, the stars emerged,
     Though still in broad daylight*

     *I hear that when we scatter much salt over a wet beach, shellfish come out from under the sand, unable to endure the too high salinity.
