燃えているさ　蚊取り線香程度には　そしてだんだん白い灰になる　 
     I’m burning, though slowly
     Like a mosquito coil, and
     Change into white ash
 
浜にある大さなぎからまだ濡れたヨットが現れ乾くのを待つ　　　　　　　　　　
     From the large chrysalis,
     A wet sailing boat came out, and
     Stayed until it got dry
 
人々が滴の中に立っていて私の方へ手を振っている　　　　　　　　　　　　　　
     In the water drop,
     Several people are
     Waving toward me
 
屋外で風船が割れた　あたりにいた蟻たちが二秒歩みを止めた　　　　　　　　　
     When a balloon burst,
     All the ants nearby stopped walking
     For two seconds
 
アーチたちが足を交互に前へ出し行進している　アーチのマーチ　　　　　　　　
     Putting one of their two
     Feet forward alternately,
     The arches are marching
 
文字の列がびよんびよんとバネのように伸び縮みして遊び始める　　　　　　　
     Lines of letters began
     To play, lengthening and
     Shortening like springs
 
瞬きと同じ頻度で両方の鼻孔を一瞬閉じては開く　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　
     Both of my nostrils
     Close and open together,
     As often as blinking
 
真ん中からドーナツ状に欠けてみたり縁から欠けてみたりする月　　　　　　　　
     Getting like a doughnut,
     The moon wanes from the centre, or
     It wanes from the rim
 
バレリーナのようにくるくる三日月が回っては止まり回っては止まる　　　　　　
     The crescent in the sky
     Pirouettes and stops, then
     Pirouettes and stops
 
ラジオから体操の曲が流れ出すと本の文字たちが体操をする　　　　　　　　　
     Letters in the book
     Do the radio gymnastics
     When the music begins
 
文字と文字は引き合っているが同じ文字を並べて書くと反発し合う　　　　　　　
     Letters are attracting
     Each other, but same letters
     Repel, when adjacent
 
闇に浮かび漂っている文字たちのどれか一つが時々光る　　　　　　　　　　　　
     From time to time, letters
     Which are floating in the darkness
     Shine, one by one

 青白く汗が輝く人々が夜のそこここで発汗している　　　　　　　　　　　　　　
     The drops of sweat
     Of those people shine in the dark
     Phosphorescent
 
その人はトランポリンで跳ねながらだんだん丸い塊になる　　　　　　　　　　　
     The man gets rounder
     And rounder, as he plays
     On the trampoline

七色に変化しながら紫になったり赤くなったりする月 
     From red to purple, and
     From purple to red, the moon
     Changes its colour
