上空に巨大な帽子が現れて地上の帽子をどんどん吸い込む　　　　　　　　　　　
     A huge hat flies around,
     Sucking up all the hats
     Into it from below

どこからか手がやってきて固くなってしまった月をもみほぐしている　　　　　　
     Called by the moon,
     Which has got stiff, a hand
     Comes to massage it

川原にある小石の中からニャアニャアと泣き続けている一個を探す 
     From all the pebbles
     Over the dry riverbed,
     Find one which keeps mewing

蛙たちが壁へ向かって次々とジャンプし壁を素通りし消える　　　　　　　　　　
     Frogs jumps towards the wall
     One after another, pass
     Through it and disappear

ゾウリムシのように全ての星々がしきりに動き回っている空　　　　　　　　　　
     Animated at length,
     All the stars are moving around
     Like paramecia

三日月がたまに地表へ降りてきて人間たちに甘えて抱かれる　　　　　　　　　　
     The crescent likes
     To be fondled on the lap
     Of a human

歩いていた猫の尻尾がポロリと取れ取れた跡から煙が出てきた　　　　　　　　　
     While a cat was walking,
     Its tail fell off, and smoke came out
     From where the tail had been

人々が宙に浮かんでいる街で私一人だけ浮かべずにいる 　　　　　　　　
     In the street, where all
     The people float in the air,
     I am left on the ground

じゅわじゅわと泡立ちながら消えていき空気の中に溶け込んだ人　　　　　　　　
     Sizzling, the person
     Evaporated, and  
     Melted into the air

青空についた足跡を鑑識が望遠鏡で観察している　　　　　　　　　　　　　　　
     A crime-scene technician
     Watches through a telescope
     Footprints left on the sky

行の端と端をつまんでゴムのように引っ張っていたらブチッと切れた　　　　　　
     I stretched a line
     In a book, but it snapped off
     Like an elastic

耳たちが小鳥になって遊び回りしばらくするとまた耳になる　　　　　　　　　　
     Turning into small birds,
     The ears enjoy flying around
     And come back, satisfied

気配だけで姿の見えない人々がいつもまわりに群がっている　　　　　　　　　　
     Though they cannot be seen,
     I feel the presence of people
     Surrounding me

黒が赤に変わって赤猫、赤ガラス、紅白パンダ等々がいる　　　　　　　　　　　
     Black having turned red,
     There are red cats, red crows and
     Red-white giant pandas
