久しぶりに夏祭り行った

最近、近所の夏祭りに行きました。めっちゃくちゃ混んでて、暑かったけど自分は意外と汗は出なかった。普段は人混みで頭痛がすることも多いんだけど、今回は全然大丈夫だった、なんでだろう？ぶらぶら歩いていると、人の波に巻き込まれて30分ほど動けなくなり、原因は駅が真ん中にあったからだった。そりゃそっかって思いながら、駅の目の前で祭りとかやるの、普通？ようやく抜け出した後、目に映ったレモンサワーを頼んでまたぶらついてた。
久しぶりの祭りで（7年ぶりくらいかな？）今回一番驚いたのは、しょうがそのものを売っている屋台がちらほらあったこと。しょうが料理じゃなくてそのまま売ってるって、どういうこと！？
帰る前に何か食べようと思い、牛肉を選んで、700円くらいだと思っていた屋台で塩タンとハラミを一つずつ頼んだ。ところが、会計が2800円！？よく見たら、「700円より」って書いてあったんだよな…まんまと引っかかりました。まぁ、祭りだからいいかと思いながら食べた塩タンがめちゃくちゃ美味しかった。多分初めて牛タンの塩焼きを食べたけど、こんなにシンプルで美味しいなんて驚いた。
食べ終わった後、どこにゴミを捨てればいいか分からなかったので、結局持ち帰ることにした。次回は一人じゃなくて、誰か友達と一緒に行こうかなと思いました。まぁ、年一回で十分かな。

So, recently I went to my neighborhood summer festival, and it was insanely crowded! It was also hot here, but surprisingly, I didn’t sweat much. Normally, I would get headaches in crowds, but I was fine this time (I wonder why?). I wandered around and got stuck in a wave of people for about 30 mins, only to discover that there’s a station in the middle of the crowd. Is it normal to open a festival directly in front of a station? Well, after I get out from the crowded, I ordered a lemon sour before continuing to look around.
It’s been around 7 years that I hadn’t gone to a festival, and I was really surprised to see several stalls selling a whole ginger. I thought it was a ginger-based meal!
Before heading home, I treated myself to some beef that I thought one portion would cost 700 yen. I ordered beef tongue and ribs, one for each part, and it turned out to cost 2800 yen! I looked again to the price listing and found out that it was written "from 700 yen"— okay, lesson learned!
Despite the price, the salt-grilled beef tongue was delicious. It’s just about pinching some salt onto the beef tongue and grilled it, but I didn’t know something so simple could taste this good! Afterward, I wasn’t sure where to throw away the trash, so I ended up taking it home. Next time, I’ll probably bring a friend along—it would’ve been more fun that way! But anyway, once a year is enough, I think.
