Story For You Translations #COVID19

These are translations I did for Tree's trilingual flash fiction series for kids during the summer of COVID-19, Story For You

"The Death of the King" by ShienBIS || A sweet little fantasy story. I decided to pick up the first volume of 迷宮の王 after translating this.

"Tomorrow's Another Day at Okko's Inn" by Hiroko Reijo || A spin-off of the Okko's Inn series. Junior innkeeper Okko and co. host a remote banquet.

Pierrot the Thief Steals the School" by Hayamine Kaoru || A throwback to this mega-popular children's author's debut feat. coronavirus.

"Artificial Flowers, Sundial, Plastic Clock" by Takashi Yabe || A horror story about a girl named Tic and a robber.

"The Detached Room at My Friend's House" by Shinzō Mitsuda || A slice of spooky life based on a true story!

"Even a Black Witch's Training Can Be Done Online" by Hiroshi Ishizaki || A really cute spin-off of the Black Witch, Coming Through! series.

"A Beautiful Moment" by Mariko Yamauchi || A story about estranged friends, school struggles, and Covid. And then I bought four of her books.

"The Radio Calisthenics Ghost" by Bunkei || What to me was a novel twist on a classic summer ghost story. Curious if other writers have done it before.

"Fireworks" by Tomihiko Morimi || An eerie tale from one of my favorite authors—and the final Story For You T_T
