シラバスにおける二つの「目標」："Goals"と"Objectives"の違い

大学の授業で教師が学生に提示するシラバスでは、授業の目標として"Goals"と"Objectives"のふたつを峻別します。どちらも日本語に翻訳すると「目標」になってしまうのですが、どう異なるのでしょうか。まとめると、

Goals = rather broadly based aims and purposes in an educational context, and are therefore more appropriately associated with whole programs, courses, or perhaps sizable modules within a course.   

Objectives = sometimes referred to as "subgoals", are much more specific than goals, both in their conception and in their context. Objectives usually refer to aims and purposes within the narrow context of a lesson or an activity within a lesson.　　                                          （Brown and Lee, 2015）

お分かりでしょうか。つまりGoalsは授業やコース設計における広い意味での大まかな「目標」であり、Objectivesはそれをさらに具体化した個々の目標を意味する、ということです。

「ダイエットのために今年はラーメンの替え玉は頼まんばい！」(Goals)

と年初めに一念発起した場合、ではどうしたらそれを実現できるかを考えて、

「水を多く飲む」「柔麺にして腹持ちをよくする」「よく噛んで食べる」などの具体的な目標を設定する。

これがObjectivesですね（違いますよ）。
