壊れかけたこの星で
ぼくのどける石ころが
あとから
この道を来るいのちに
どうか
やさしくありますように
ぼくの引き抜く草が
あとから
このやぶを渡るいのちに
どうか
やさしくありますように
ぼくのまく花の種が
あとから
この星に生まれるものに
どうか
やさしくありますように
壊れかけたこの星で
ただ いっとき
どうか
やさしくありますように
On this crumbling planet,
May the smooth pebbles I clear away
Be gentle
to the lives passing this path
behind me.
May the weeds I pull
Be gentle
to the lives crossing this thicket
behind me.
May the seeds of my sown flowers
Be gentle
to those born
on this planet thereafter.
On this crumbling planet,
Just for a moment,
May it be gentle.
