“ウタヨミビト”の4thシングル『紫陽花の花』は、日本最古の和歌集「万葉集」だけでなく「拾遺愚草」「千五百番歌合」「古今和歌六帖」「散木奇歌集」といった古の私撰和歌集の中でも詠まれた梅雨の季節を代表する花“紫陽花”の和歌をモチーフに、巧みに紡ぎ合わせ現代語訳した作品。
郷愁感-サウダージ-溢れるポルトガル音楽“ファド”をベースに、“ポルトガルギター(ギターラ・ポルトゲッサ)”と沖縄の三線を由来とする新たな楽器”四線”のサウンドを融合させ、ユーラシア大陸を遠く東西に隔てた二つの響きを結び付けたユニークな音楽を、叙情的に展開します。

The 4th tune of UTAYOMIBITO "Ajisai no hana -hydrangea-". Music arrangement of this song is based on Portuguese popular music "fado".
We play it by the Portugal guitar called "guitarra Portuguessa"and also use the Okinawan-Japanese new music instrument "yonshin" which is developed from traditional sanshin to crossover the far eastern music culture.
The lyrics sung in Japanese are improvised from the Japanese poetry called "tanka".
The motif of this song is beautiful hydrangea which were written in the oldest collection of Japanese poetry "Manyoushu" and personal poetry collections "Shuigusou", "1500-ban utaawase", "Kokinwaka 6-jyou", "Sanboku kikashu".
