The other day, "Long Distance Love on Sale" leapt out at my eyes.
"What ?" I wondered.
I accosted one of the clerks.
"What does this 'long distance love on sale' mean?"
"I dunno. I'm no more than an employee."
"Are you selling items that you dunno?"
"Probably, yes. Sorry, I'm hectic."
Silence.
He never told me other than that.
Come to think of it, I don't want "long distance love." Though I'm single, I'm satisfied with the status quo. In addition to that, if I had a boyfriend, I would like to see him quite often. So I walked away.
As soon as I got back, I got a call.
"Excuse me, but do you perhaps have 'long distance love'?"
I heard that at the other end of the line.
"No, I don't. I have no boyfriend."
"What? Whether you have a boyfriend or not doesn't have anything to do with it. What matters is whether you have a 'long distance love'."
"What is it?"
"Not really. Are you kidding me? Goodbye."
Even now, I'm not quite sure what long distance love is.
