年末のご挨拶：Season's Greetings

今年は春に父が急逝し喪中のため、年末年始のご挨拶は控えさせていただいております。この場をお借りして、今年お世話になった皆様へのお礼を込めて、2024年の近況と来年への展望を共有いたします。仕事面では、マーサーで新しいチームを立ち上げ、パーソナリティデータを活用した人材マネジメントソリューションの開発に注力してまいりました。テクノロジー、データ、人材マネジメントの融合という、私の長年のビジョンが徐々に形になりつつあります。来年は、このソリューションを通じて、より多くの組織の変革をサポートできることを楽しみにしています。
プライベートでは、トライアスロンと華道という異なる世界で充実した時間を過ごすことができました。トライアスロンでは徳之島と九十九里でミドルディスタンスを完走。来年は更なる挑戦として、ベトナムの70.3アイアンマンと徳之島での完走を目指します。
華道は、「そろそろ師範を」という先生の優しいプレッシャーを受けながらも、マイペースに続けています。今年は趣味の世界でも新しい出会いがあり、トライアスロン仲間を華道の世界へ招待する機会も作れました。
2025年は、公私ともに新たなチャレンジの年になりそうです。Google時代の経験を活かした初めての共著書籍を出版予定です。初めてマネジャーになる方々への実践的なガイドとして、3人での合作を進めています。そして、もう一つ大きなプロジェクトも進行中ですが、こちらは形になった際に改めてご報告できればと思います。
人生一度きり。来年も、仕事も趣味も全力で挑戦していく所存です。 皆様、引き続きどうぞよろしくお願いいたします。

Dear friends,
As we approach the New Year, I find myself reflecting on a year marked by both personal loss and professional growth. Due to the passing of my father in the spring, I will not be sending traditional New Year’s greetings this year. Instead, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has supported me during this challenging time and to share my updates and aspirations.
Professionally, I am excited to the launch of a new team at Mercer dedicated to developing innovative talent management solutions that utilize personality data. This initiative is a realization of my long-standing vision to integrate technology, data, and talent management. I am eager to help more organizations transform their approaches through these solutions in the coming year.
On a personal note, I have found joy and fulfillment in two seemingly disparate pursuits: triathlon and Ikebana (Japanese flower arrangement). This year, I successfully completed two middle-distance triathlon races. Looking ahead, I am setting my sights on new challenges, including the 70.3 Ironman in Vietnam and another race in Tokunoshima.
In my Ikebana journey, I continue to progress at my own pace, inspired by my teacher’s gentle encouragement to consider pursuing mastery.
As I look toward 2025, I anticipate a year filled with new challenges and opportunities. I am in the process of co-authoring my first book, drawing on insights from my time at Google. This practical guide, developed in collaboration with two friends, is designed to support first-time managers.
Life is a unique journey, and I am committed to embracing both my professional endeavors and personal passions in the year ahead.
