【A must for mushroom lovers!】Giant hamburg steak with whole jumbo mushrooms in a rice cooker
I had a flash of inspiration at a supermarket I happened to stop by, and I couldn't stop fantasizing about it.
Of course, I have never cooked it before.
I don't even know if it tastes good or not.
I don't even know if the price is reasonable.
(I bought it without even looking at it, so I don't even remember it.)
Will I succeed or fail? In a sense, it's a risky bet.
Either way, I would regret if I didn't buy it and make it now, so I made it!
◆Important points to note
●Ingredients
(These ingredients are for a 5-cup rice cooker. For a 3-cup rice cooker, change to smaller mushrooms and cook in half the volume. If there is a setting, set it to hamburg steak mode or cake mode and cook.)
Ground meat:500~600g
Mushrooms:about 18~19 cm in diameter (brown color is recommended)
(Vegetables, binding ingredients, spices, seasonings, etc.):As much of each as desired
The ingredients and the key points for selecting ingredients when cooking are the same as in the past recipes, so please refer to the recipes below. ↓
●About arrangement
Please refer to the above and arrange them according to the tastes and constitution of the people who eat them.
Please enjoy putting cheese inside, decorating it, making it into a hamburger, and so on.
●About variations in cooking utensils
If you cannot use a rice cooker or want to cook other dishes together, you can also make a giant hamburg steak on a hot plate.
Please refer to the following. ↓
●Cooking procedure
1.
If the mushrooms have soil on them, remove it with your hands or a cloth.
Once done, cut off any damaged parts and the end of the stem, and place the mushrooms in the inner pot.
When cutting the end of the stem, lay the knife on the side and cut slowly while holding the end of the stem firmly with your hand.
(It is hard, so do not be in a hurry.)
2.
I have sprinkled pizza cheese on top this time, for both binding and seasoning. (You can also cook without it if you prefer!)
3.
Put ground meat, seasonings, binder, vegetables, etc. in a bowl and mix lightly throughout. (If you want to keep it simple and use only ground meat, skip step 3 and go to step 4.)
4.
Stuff the ground meat so that it adheres perfectly to the surface of the mushrooms. Stuff the ground meat into the mushrooms while squeezing the air out of the gaps.
When the surface is flattened, it is done.
5.
Once set in the rice cooker, heat it, watching it from time to time.
If there is a dedicated mode for baking something, such as cake mode or hamburger mode, set that mode.
Baking time varies depending on the model, but it is about 1 to 1.5 hours.
6.
If no red gravy come out when you skewer it, it is a sign that it is done cooking.
(If it is raw, heat it additionally, keeping an eye on it please.)
Drain off the gravy by tilting the inner pot while holding it down with a spatula.
If you are making the sauce by hand later, drain the gravy into an appropriate small pan.
Be careful not to burn yourself!
When finished, put a plate over the inner pot and turn it over at once.
Immediately after completion, it looks like ordinary stuffed shiitake mushrooms, but that's okay.
I will make it even more delicious from here.
7.
Finish by pouring hamburger sauce over the top!
In this case, I used a sauce made by adding 6 tablespoons of ketchup and 3 tablespoons of sauce to the gravy and boiling it down. You can also add red wine, etc. It is delicious even if you make it taste different.
Thick, juicy and rich in flavor...!
The slow cooking process makes it soft and tender.
If you have never cooked it before, please try it.
●How to store after making
If you cannot finish eating it, it can be frozen.
Wrap tightly in plastic wrap, place in a storage bag, remove air and freeze.
It is convenient to cut into single-serving portions and then freeze.
When thawing, it is recommended to leave it in the refrigerator or place at room temperature, or heat it in the microwave while frozen.
●About how to eat and remake after preservation
Make it small and put it in a lunch box
Cut into small pieces and make into hamburgers
Serve with eggs and avocado to make a loco moco donburi
Use as a filling for doria or gratin
Breaded and deep-fried as mince cutlets
Crumble up and add into a half-boiled omelet
Crumble and use as a ingredient for pasta sauce
Rolled and stewed to make cabbage rolls
Wrap in pie crust and bake to make a meat pie
Use as an ingredient in pot-au-feu, stew, curry, etc
And so on.
It makes everyday cooking a little easier, so please try using it in a variety of dishes.
