Recently, from February 7th to 9th, I embarked on an exhilarating three‐day adventure with my friends to Oga City in Akita Prefecture. Despite the harshness of winter, there was a distinct warmth in the town of Oga, and I could tangibly feel the deep history and culture that thrums beneath its surface. In this account, I am delighted to share the charm of Oga—a place where tradition and innovation intertwine—as well as the memorable moments we spent at the historic inn, Moricho Ryokan, which lies at its heart.
