【進学情報】ロータリー財団の平和フェローシップ：修士号取得プログラム（留学奨学金）
本稿では、平和学における修士号の取得を目指される方々に向けて、奨学金付修士プログラムを紹介します。
ロータリー財団（The Rotary Foundation）では、学部卒業後、平和構築や開発分野で3年以上の職歴を持つ方々に平和フェローシップ（The Rotary Peace Fellowship）を提供しています。国際レベルで募集を行っているようですが、非常に実践的で専門性の高い修士号取得プログラムです。本プログラムは国内外にある5つの提携大学で各々提供されます。
修士号取得プログラムに加えて、ウガンダとトルコでは専門能力開発修了証プログラムという異なるコースも実施されています。詳細は末尾をご参照ください。

修士号取得プログラム 概要
提携大学（ロータリー平和センター：The Rotary Peace Centers）：
１、デューク大学およびノースカロライナ大学チャペルヒル校（アメリカ）

対象者：
・学士号を保有していること。
・個人的活動や社会奉仕活動を通して、または学問上、職務上の実績を通して、国際理解と平和への専心を実証していること。
・リーダーシップの素質を有していること。
・平和あるいは開発の分野において少なくとも3年のフルタイムの職歴を有していること。（Government、NGO、Economic Development、Private Citizen Diplomacy、Research and Education、Advocacy and Activism、Leadership in a Religious Congregation or Organization、Media and the Arts、Law Enforcement or Military、Public health等）
研修期間：15ヶ月から24ヶ月（2、3ヶ月の実地研修を含む）
奨学金の用途：
・授業料および諸経費（Tuition and fees）
・下宿費（Room and board）
・往復交通費（Round-trip transportation）
・実地研修費用（Applied field experience expenses）
・健康保険（Health insurance）
語学要件：英語に堪能であること

・マケレレ大学：アフリカ出身、アフリカでの勤務経験がある、アフリカ大陸外でアフリカ人コミュニティまたはアフリカ関連のイニシアチブに取り組んだ経験がある人、またはこの地域での平和構築のアプローチについて学ぶことに対して非常に強い関心を示している人
・バーチェシェヒル大学：中東または北アフリカ出身であるか、その地域で働いたことがあるか、中東または北アフリカに関連するコミュニティまたはイニシアチブで活動した経験がある、またはこの地域での平和構築のアプローチについて学ぶことに対して非常に強い関心を示している人
