A veil of light divides the world in twain,
my steps do halt by the trash’s side.
a vacant sky invites my eyes again,
recalling God’s soft whispers, I abide.
A single beam cuts circles for our stage,
where she, long woken, twirls without a sound,
the bitter night sheds tears to soothe its rage
pearls are gathered where the dark surrounds.
The trembling truth hides love and futures near,
an eight-beat rhythm saves even the witch's side
from moonlight’s glow to snow’s descending fear
loneliness spreads beneath the winter’s bite.
Oh, stay with me, if only for tonight —
then rest eternal in the snow-white light.
