速さは正確さに勝ること多しです。
まずは理解したこと、着手したことをしらせるだけでも意味があります。
最もダメな返事は先方から聞かれてからの
「今やっています」
常に先手をとるためにも返事は速攻。

とにかく自分は
“わかっている”
“やっている“
ということを
率先してアピールしましょう。
仕事場は学校ではありません、
上司やクライアントは先生ではないので、
やっているかどうかを見には来ません。
こちらから積極的なアピールをしましょう。

また頼んだ方は
「伝わっているか？」
「やっているか？」
がとても不安です。
そういう意味でも迅速な打ち返しは重要です。

慣れないうちこそとにかく先手先手で行きましょう。

実社会では実力や能力の違いは評価しにくい(数字に出ないので)。だからこそこういうちょっとした有利を積み立てることが重要です。

全員に仕事が回ってくるわけではありません。 次はないんです。

In most cases, speed is more important than accuracy. 
Even just letting your boss/client know that you understand, or that you have started the task makes a big difference.
The worst thing you can do is to reply to an anxious email from a client, telling them “I’m working on it.”

Take the initiative to assure people that you understand, or that you are doing the work. 
The workplace is not a school. Your bosses and clients are not your teachers. They won’t come and check if you are working on something, so you have to make a proactive effort to appeal to them you are working. 

People who assign tasks are always worried about whether their message is correctly communicated, and whether the work is actually being done. 
That’s why giving them a quick reply is so important. 

Keep reminding yourself to “take the initiative” until it becomes a habit.

“Quick Response” is the universal golden rule of business.
Don’t forget it.

In the “real world” it is difficult to quantify one’s real abilities and potential. That is why it’s critical to do these small things to push the game in your favor. 

Jobs are not distributed to everyone fairly in the real world. If you miss your chance, there won’t be another one.
