イギリス生活42-45週目ふりかえり
イギリス生活のふりかえり。
今回は1ヶ月分まとめて。

1ヶ月間のふりかえり
今月は色々あったので、写真を中心に振り返ることにする。
まず、一月半ばに教育関係の機関を訪問する機会があり、お休みをとって弾丸でケンブリッジに向かった。
貴重な経験になるため、民泊を予約して前日入りをしたのだが、その民泊に入るや否や問題発生。
入り口に別部屋の住人がおり、家のベットにダニが発生しているとのこと笑
もう最悪だ笑
その人は赤くなった腕を見せてくれて、管理会社に連絡したのに返事がない！と怒っていた。
そのためなぜか自分が電話をかけることになり、今後はこうしたことがないように清掃をお願いしますなどと伝えることになった。
大切な日の前日なのに。。勘弁して欲しい。。
ちなみに、自分の部屋にはダニが発生していなかったので大丈夫だったが、テーブルが一部壊れており、工事現場などで見かけるテープで補修されていた。ツッコミどころの多い滞在だった。
訪問自体はとても有意義で、イギリスの教育事情について詳しくなったし、自分がさらに学んだ方が良いことなども明確になった。
別日には、世界最大規模の教育イベントに参加した。
非常に面白いイベントで、様々な気づきと学びがあったのだが、その辺りの話は長くなるので別の記事にまとめようと思う。
このイベントで様々な国の教育関係の人と繋がることもできた。例えば軍隊出身の人とミーティングをしたのだが、やはり鍛えられ方が違うなと感じる。。
他にも別の大規模な教育イベントに参加したりもした。体調不良で比較的すぐに帰宅し、中途半端になってしまったけれど。。
こうしたイベントに参加してトレンドを知ったり、教育機関の訪問を経たりしたことで、やはり自分は教育に関心があることが再認識できた。
同時に、自分に足りない視点やスキルも浮き彫りになってきた。
無いものに目を向けがちなので、先行きの長さに絶望しかけたのだが、日々新しいことを学んでいくしかないと思っている。今までの自分の努力不足を感じた。
そのため、1月に今年一年の定量的な目標を色々と立てて、それを日々実施するようにしている。
その目標について記事で詳しくは書かないが、例えば月に30人と新たに繋がるといったようなものだ。
オンライン上で知り合った方のオフィスを訪問したりもしたのだが、人の繋がりからもたらされる情報が貴重であることを改めて感じている。
note記事も継続的に書いていこうと思い、本数も目標設定した。ここ一ヶ月は以下のような記事を書いた。
他にもデータ分析の学習なども最近は行っている。継続することが大切だと思うので、めげずに続けていきたい。
こうしたイベントの参加に加えて、弾丸で再びパリに行った。
友人に呼んでもらい、モロッコ料理やフランス料理を一緒に食べたり、美術館に行ったりした。途中、ネコの運を踏んだりもした。
ちなみに疲れていたのか、お酒の席ではいつもより酔っ払うのが早く、わずかビール1杯で眠気が襲ってきた。
最近全然飲んでいなかったため、以前よりお酒が弱くなったようにも思う。
その影響で、せっかくバンクシーミュージアムを訪れたにも関わらず、一人燃え尽きるという結果となった。
ほぼ美術館前後の記憶がないことに加え、この後5日間ほど体調も崩して大変だったので、燃え尽きるのはここだけにしたい。

英語のアクセント
英語には本当に沢山のアクセントがあって面白い。
イギリスの中でも非常に多くのアクセントがあり、マンチェスターのパブの店員さんのアクセントに苦戦した思い出もある。
他にも例えば、以下の動画で登場するハリーケインというサッカー選手のアクセントがわかりにくいと言われている。
コメント欄には、
Harry Kane has his own accent.
というコメントもある。凄い選手なのだが笑
アクセントの違いは非常に面白いので、個人的にもっと理解できるようになりたい。
ちなみにベッカムのアクセントはマジでカッコいい。
しょっちゅうイベントがある
インドのお祭り、ハロウィン、クリスマス、年越し、中国の旧正月など、定期的に異なる文化のイベントがあるのがイギリスの面白いところだ。
やたらと花火が打ち上がる笑
どんなに曇りの日でも、雲の上は晴れている
パリからの帰り道、どんより曇り空のロンドン上空が、実は晴れ渡っていることに気づいた。
当たり前なのだが、どんなに曇りの日でも、厚い雲の上は晴れている。
なんだか詩的だし、格言のようだ笑
来月の目標
学習の継続
ここ1ヶ月間くらい認知負荷がかかっていたように思うが、とにかく学ぶべきことを詰め込むしかない。インプットだけではなく、アウトプットで形にしながら、自分が学ぶべきことを定着させていきたい。
ネットワーキングを意識的に増やす
イギリスの滞在期間中に、ここでしか得られない情報、繋がりというものをもっと増やせたら良い。
現地の人から得られる情報の価値は計り知れないし、お互い異なるバックグラウンドなので、意見交換などをするのもとても面白い。
健康管理
もう体調は崩したくない。一人暮らしで体調崩すと大変だ。
しかも異国の地だと尚更。

ここ数日、まだ風邪を拗らせているのはなぜだろうと考えていたのですが、おそらく最近真面目に生き過ぎていたせいだろうと思いました。
なので、反省したニャン！今後はもう少し気楽に適当に遊び心を大切にして暮らすニャン！
