航空業界の経済状況はどうなっていますか？
世界最大の統計調査データプラットフォームでドイツのインフォグラフィクスを紹介しているハンブルク(Stadt Hamburg)にあるStatista GmbHのデータ・ジャーナリスト(data Journalist)、インフォグラフィクスのヘッドであるマティアス・ブラント(Mathias Brandt)の報告として2023年12月18日に、Senior Datenredakteur(シニアデータ編集者)のマティアス・ヤンソン(Matthias Janson)、フローリアン・ツァント(Florian Zandt)、レネ・ボックシュ(René Bocksch)の報告とともに、IATA(International Air Transport Association/国際航空運送協会)は、今年度の世界の民間航空会社の純利益総額をUS$233億と見積もっている。これは、国際航空が3年ぶりに黒字に転じたことを意味する。
IATAのウィリー・ウォルシュ理事(IATA-Direktor Willie Walsh)にとって、この進展は航空業界の回復力を強調するものである。
「人々は旅行に熱心であり、このことが航空会社のサービスをパンデミック以前のレベルに戻すのに役立っている。
回復のスピードは並外れているが、コロナによって航空業界は4年分の成長を失ったとも言えます」とウォルシュは言う。
一方、来年の見通しも明るい。同団体は、2024年には旅行者数が47億人に達すると予測している。
最終的にはUS$260億近い黒字になる可能性がある。
問題はパイロットだろう。
昔のエリート・ジャンボのパイロットは、今や輸送機のパイロットで、もう華やかさがない。
完全に中型機の時代になった。
