バックハウスのシューベルト《楽興の時》：大器が奏でるシューベルトの抒情

Some may feel that a virtuoso pianist like Backhaus playing "Moments Musicaux" is like "using a chef's knife to cut a chicken."
Indeed, if we look around, we can see that there are many skilled pianists who are good at playing short pieces. There is a common flaw in the "Moments Musicaux" played by such pianists. That is, the piece tends to be trivialized.
Backhaus is different in this respect. He does not get nervous about small details, and plays in a very generous manner. It is probably his great capacity that makes this approach possible.
Schubert's lyricism overflows in this generous performance, and we can also feel Backhaus's warm consideration and his unique style.
