2024年4月6日。
この日に僕は大量の荷物とともに日本を出国する。
行き先はシドニー。
最終目的地イギリス・ロンドンに向かうための準備期間をこの街で過ごす。

オーストラリアは初上陸になる。
いわゆる西洋芸術や、ショーアップされたミュージカルが好きな僕からすると、これまで眼中になかった国だ。

ではなぜ、シドニーで暮らすのか。
それは、最終目的地ロンドンに向かうために必要なプロセスだったから。

この文章を飛び立とうとする機内で書いている。12時間後から10ヶ月間、英語での日常が始まる。

まだ実感がわかないけれど、それは想像できる範囲を越えているからだろうか？

想像ができないから恐れるのか？想像ができないから、もうとりあえず体当たりでいいのか？
たぶん後者の方が、良いのだろう。

だって夢に見た海外生活じゃないか？
東京よりも生きやすい場所にいくための一歩じゃないか。
