　The second day, Stanley found something into the dirt. It was a fossil. He showed it to Mr.Pendenski. He said that it was interesting, but Warden was not interested in fossil, so he could not give him a day off.

Stanley felt it was unfair.

X-Ray offered Stanley to bring what he found because he did not find anything in spite of digging holes for more than one year.
Stanley accepted his offer.
