A Swedish company
has developed the world's first
commercially available
"flying car".
The Jetson ONE is a
"personal electric aerial vehicle"
that carries one person,
and the company claims
it takes only five minutes
to learn to fly.
On its website,
Jetson says the craft
can reach a software-limited
top speed of 102 kilometers
per hour, has an
altitude ceiling of 457 meters,
a flight time of 20 minutes,
and can take off and land
from your own backyard.
It doesn't come cheap,
with a price tag of
US$92,000 and a deposit
of US$22,000 to
secure your booking.
Co-founder Peter added,
"Our mission is to make
flight available to everyone.
The Jetson ONE is an
electric helicopter
that you can own and fly.
They intend to make everyone a pilot."
