恋って梅の花みたいよね。だって、終わってしまった後にこそ、その美しさや想いの深さがより強く感じられるもの。

「香を留めて 何かはあらむ 梅の花
咲きぬる色に こそ誇りあらめ」
そうかしら？散ったあとの香りを残して、何になるの？恋も梅の花も、咲いている時の色こそが誇りなのではないかしら？

散ったあとの香りも魅力的だし、
咲き誇る姿も見事ね。
愛でる人が居てこそ咲く意味があるというのもわかる。
たけど、私が梅を好きなのは、食べられる実を結ぶからなの。
花の時期にどれほど愛でられても、
その後に実をつけ、時間をかけて熟すものこそ、
本当に価値があると思うの。
美しさも香りも移ろうもの。
けれど、それを超えて最後に実を残す梅は、
ただ咲くだけではなく、豊かさを持つ花。
だから、私は梅が好き。
