酒蔵 文楽/東蔵を愉しむ。Enjoy Sake Brewery “BUNRAKU AZUMAKURA” at Ageo, SAITAMA
2023.7.17(月)の海の日、埼玉県上尾の北西酒造(今回で埼玉県10蔵目)内にある東蔵に妻と二人で行ってきました。酒蔵ならではの日本酒にぴったりのお料理(手打蕎麦・天ぷら・豆腐料理等)をいただいてきました。
On Monday, July 17, 2023, a sea day, my wife and I visited the Azuma Sake Brewery in Ageo, Saitama Prefecture, which is part of the Kitanishi Sake Brewery (this is the 10th brewery in Saitama Prefecture). We enjoyed dishes (handmade buckwheat noodles, tempura, tofu dishes, etc.) that go perfectly with sake, as only a sake brewery can offer.
お酒のサプライチェーンを知るフィールドワークの一環です。お酒のサプライチェーンは、生産者(酒米)に始まり、酒蔵でのお酒造りを経て、直営店や卸業者・小売店舗・飲食店等の多様なチャネルがあり、それらを通じて我々消費者はお酒を手に取ることができます。今まで酒蔵を中心に訪問をしてきましたが、今回は蔵元ならではのコンセプトに基づいた日本酒と合う料理とセットで、食の愉しみが提案されており、また新しい学びがあり大変有意義で贅沢な時間となりました。
This is part of the fieldwork to learn about the sake supply chain. The sake supply chain begins with the producer (of sake rice), continues through the sake brewing process at the sake brewery, and then includes various channels such as directly managed stores, wholesalers, retail stores, and restaurants, and we, the consumers, can enjoy sake. I have visited mainly sake breweries in the past, but this time I had a very meaningful and luxurious time with a new learning experience as I was able to enjoy a set of dishes that go well with sake based on the brewery's unique concept.
一通りのお酒と料理をいただいた後、併設されている酒店でお土産をいただいて帰ろうとしたところ、7.17(月)は、前日の上尾祭りの代休となっていてお休みでした(またまたリサーチ不足)。
After enjoying a variety of sake and food, I went to the sake store to pick up some souvenirs, but it was closed on Monday, July 17, as it was a substitute holiday for the Ageo Festival held the day before (again, lack of research).
手ぶらで帰るのも非常に残念なので、上尾駅前の丸広(まるひろ)に立ち寄り、東蔵でいただいたAGEO snow をお土産にいただきました。水は荒川水系、酒米は、彩のかがやき、酵母も埼玉Gということで、オール埼玉のお酒。埼玉県民としては飲むしかない。
It would be regrettable to go home empty-handed, so we stopped by Maruhiro in front of Ageo Station to pick up a bottle of AGEO snow from the Azuma Sake Brewery as a souvenir. The water is from the Arakawa River, the sake rice is Sai-no-Kagayaki, and the yeast is Saitama G, so it is an all-Saitama sake. As a resident of Saitama, I had no choice but to drink it.
ストーリーのある日本酒展開に加えて、そのお酒に合う食の愉しみ方と組み合わせた提案は、ある意味で文化としての伝達方法のように思いました。サプライチェーン全体で消費者に語る一つのシナリオになりますね。
In addition to the development of sake with a story, the proposal to combine it with the food enjoyment that goes with the sake seemed like a way to communicate it as a culture. It would be one scenario that speaks to consumers throughout the supply chain.
次回の日本酒関連の現地訪問(フィールドワーク)は、今のところ未定ですが、8月は県北の方面に行ってみたいと思います。非常に楽しみです。
My next sake-related field visit (fieldwork) is undecided at this time, but I would like to visit the northern part of the prefecture in August. I am very much looking forward to it.
