おっと / o tto (Husband)
➔ A male spouse used when speaking with friends or on documents.
だんな / da n na (Husband)
➔ A respectful way to refer to a spouse. Not to be used when speaking with superiors.
しゅじん / shu ji n (Husband)
➔ A polite way to refer to a male spouse. Used when speaking with superiors.

The types of names you use to call your partner!
つま / tsu ma (wife)
➔ A term to refer to a female partner in a marital relationship. It can be used in both private and public situations.
よめ / yome (daughter-in-law)
➔ A term used by father-in-law and mother-in-law to refer to their son's wife. However, recently, husbands have started to refer to their wives as "よめ / yo me" (daughter-in-law).
にょうぼ / nyō bo (wife)
➔ A term for wife that can be used when speaking with an acquaintance. It should not be used in situations where someone of higher rank is present.
かない / kanai (wife)
➔ A humble term for wife. It can be used in a wide range of situations, but is often used when speaking with someone of higher rank.
