誰しもがヒーローにはなれない。
昨日そんなことを考えながら、バックスクリーンの目の前（と言いつつだいぶ遠く）の、今年で去りゆく二人の選手を見ていた。一人は怪我に苦しみながら何度もそれを克服し相手チームに立ちはだかったひときわクールで不屈な男。もう一人は資質を持ちながら怠け伸び悩み評価する人との出会いで開花した愛すべき点取り屋。
試合は今年の弱さを象徴する、それはひどいものだった。
けれど予報されていた雨は降らず、セレモニーは感動の元に終わり、僕はその輝きに涙ぐみながらも感謝の拍手と小声のエールを送った。

誰しもがスーパースターにはなれない。
今日はチケットは取れず、自宅からの観戦だった。画面で見る彼はやはり小柄だけど、昨日より身近に見えた。彼は出場登録されず試合には出なかった。
試合は昨日と逆に楽な展開で勝利した。土砂降りの雨には大いに助けられ、涙雨ではなく、恵みの雨となった。
いきなりだけど、間違いなく今までで一番笑った引退試合だったと思う。
それは何も考えてないと言いつつ計算しつくされた選手いじりのスピーチか、神が与えたとしか思えないヘッドスライディングの繰り返しか、悪ノリしてサードコーチャーをし胴上げで一緒に上がるチームメイトの笑顔か（今年は本当にこう言うシーンが少なかった気がする）。

誰しもがヒーローやスーパースターにはなれない。たとえプロを名乗る集団であっても。そして選手成績でいえば、もっとすごいヒーローもスーパースターもいるのだろう。
だけど、日々を生きるすべての人たちに、ストーリーがある。
紛れもなく、脇役に徹し続けた彼がその日集めた笑顔は、主人公のものだった。
ありがとう、燕のジョーカー（ここだけでもカッコよく）。

No one can be a hero.
Yesterday, I was looking at the two players who were leaving this year, in front of the back screen. One is a cool and unbearable man who suffered injury and overcame it many times and stood on the opponent team. The other is a adorable spotter that blossomed upon encounter with a person who has the qualities and evaluates sluggish growth.
The game symbolized this year's weakness, which was terrible.
However, the rain that had been forecasted did not fall, the ceremony ended in excitement, and I sent applause of appreciation and a quiet ale with tears in its shine.

No one can be a superstar.
I couldn't get a ticket today and it was a watching game from home. He looks small on the screen, but he looked closer than yesterday. He was not registered and did not enter the game.
The game was won in an easy way. The downpour rain helped me a lot, and it was a rain of grace instead of tears.
Suddenly, I think it was definitely the most laughing retirement match ever.
It is a speech of twiddled players who said that they did not think anything, or repeated head sliding that only God seemed to give, or a smile of teammates who went up together with a third coacher with a bad heart (I feel like there weren't many scenes like this year).

No one can be a hero or superstar. Even a group that claims to be a professional. And in terms of player results, there may be more amazing heroes and superstars.
But every person who lives every day has a story.
Undoubtedly, the smile he collected that day, who continued to play the supporting role, belonged to the main character.
