（プロフィール）
　私の名前はソムフォンです。私はラオス出身で、ラオスのパクセ教師養成学校の教師をしています。
　私はラオスの教育省の代表として、遠隔地の教育の質の低さを解決する方法を研究しています。

（ラオスの教育問題）
　ラオスの 40 の農村地域を訪問した教育スポーツ省の代表者は、教育の質のが低いままであり、その原因は以下の通りであると報告しました。 
- 生徒の就学率が低い
- 小学校での留年率が高い
- 初等教育の中退率が高い
- 低学年の生徒の就学率が低い。
- 中学校の中退率が高い
- 高等学校の就学率が低い
- 高等学校の中退率が高い

（ラオスの農村地域での社会・教育の現状について）
　生徒が学校に来ない、中途退学する理由としては、以下のようなものがあります。僻地には貧しい家庭が多く、ノートやペンなどの備品や衣類などが不足し、子どもを学校に通わせることができない家庭もあります。

　また、僻地にある学校では、教育機器が不足していたり、おもちゃやボールなど子供達の遊び道具や教科書などが不足していたりと、教育の質に影響を与える問題や課題がたくさんあります。
　私たちは教科書を始めとした教育機器やおもちゃ、ボールなど、子供たちの学校に来る動機づけになるようなものを支援し続けています。

（PROFILE）
 My name's Somphone. I’m from Laos, I am a teacher at Pakse Teacher Training College in Laos.
 I am a delegate of the Ministry of Education of Laos and I am studying and finding a way to resolve the low education quality in the remote areas. 

（EDUCATION PROBLEMS OF LAOS）
 The representative from the ministry of Education and Sports who dedicated him or herself in 40 rural area districts in Laos has reported that the impact of education’s quality has remained low which has many causes as specify: 
・　The student enrolment rate is low 
・　The rate of repeating a class in primary is high
・　The rate of drop out in primary is high
・　The student enrollment rate in lower secondary is low
・　The rate of drop out in lower secondary is high
・　The student enrollment rate of upper secondary is low
・　The rate of drop out in upper secondary is high

(SOCIAL AND EDUCATION IN THE REMOTE AREAS OF LAOS)
 For the reason that students do not come to school and students drop out of school are as follows: There are many poor families in the remote area, some of them cannot send their children to school because they lack equipment such as a notebook, pen etc. and including clothing.
 The school located in the remote also has many problems and many challenges that impact the quality of Education such as the school lacks education equipment and the things that motivate the children love to come to school such as toys, ball etc. and including textbooks have lacked.
 We want to help and support the education equipment and the things that motivate the children love to come to school such as toys, ball etc. and including textbooks have lacked.
