Wanna say, "The cold never bothered me anyway"

English follows

My Japanese friend, who's lived in London for ages, finally made it back to Japan for a winter visit after a long time away.

She went like; "OMG, the sky! So blue! I couldn't stop staring!"

I get it. British winters are like being trapped in a gray box. Short daylight, wet, and just gloomy.

It maybe the same feeling Tokyo friends get when they escape to a tropical island and can't get enough of the crystal-clear ocean.

This is our fourth winter in London.

Today my boy and I went Bushy Park for a run. How a little bit of sunshine makes us happy.

See the photo above – "slightly sunny" is an understatement! It's still chilly, but we were even saying things like, "Lovely day, isn't it? At least it's not raining!"

We're off to Scandinavia for skiing during this half-term break. When I booked it, I thought, "Well, it's going to be cold anyway." Famous last words.

Yeah, and now I found the forecast for our arrival day…Minus 24 degrees Celsiu (the lowest, though).

Oh well…wish us luck.
