The Lost Key

Emma and Lucy were searching for the key to their grandfather’s treasure box.

“This mystery is as difficult as a puzzle,” Lucy said, looking under the carpet.

Emma sighed. “Finding this key is harder than I expected,” she muttered.

Suddenly, Lucy spotted something shiny behind the bookshelf. She pulled it out and gasped. “This must be the oldest key in the house!”

Excited, Emma said, “If we knew where the treasure box was, we could open it right now!”

Lucy hesitated, then sighed. “If I had checked behind the bookshelf earlier, we wouldn’t have wasted so much time.”

Holding the key, they smiled at each other, ready to unlock the mystery.
