"The Promise of a Starry Night"

"When I was young, I loved gazing at the starry sky with my grandfather. He was an astronomer, skilled at talking about the stars in the night sky. We often went out to the garden, peering through a telescope, engrossed in stories about constellations and planets.
'Each star has its own name and story,' my grandfather would say. 'Someday, you'll find your own star.'
As time passed, I grew up and became caught up in busy days. My grandfather aged and grew sickly. One day, lying in a hospital bed, he said to me, 'Let's go see the stars one more time.'
Those words tightened my chest. I knew his strength had waned, making it difficult for him to go outside. But I desperately wanted to fulfill his wish.
One night, I took my grandfather in a wheelchair to the hospital roof. Countless stars shone in the night sky. Grandfather peered through the telescope and smiled.
'This might be the last starry sky I see. But I'm truly happy to see it with you.'
Tears threatened to overflow, but I desperately held them back. At that moment, where my grandfather pointed, an exceptionally bright star shone.
'Look, that star. You've found your own star.'
I gazed intently at that star. Grandfather's words resonated in my heart. Though far away, the star was a bond connecting us.
A few days later, my grandfather quietly passed away. I was enveloped in deep sorrow, but I had etched our promise in my heart.
Years later, I became a civil servant. Every time I look up at the night sky, I remember my grandfather's words. That star continues to shine, giving me courage and hope.
On starry nights, I pass on memories of my grandfather to the next generation. Each star has its name and story. And we, too, are beings that shine like stars.
The promise with my grandfather lives on under the eternal starry sky."
