【SS】未来の昔話

「昔、ここに火力発電所があったんだよ」
わしは孫の未来に語りかける。

「じつに大きな建物でな、
　もうあんな大きな建物は作れないだろうな」

わしのすぐ横で　
未来は無言のままブランコを漕いでいる。

「わしも見たことないが、もっと昔は　
　どこかに原子力発電所というのもあったんだそうだ」

「うん。教科書に書いてあった」
まっすぐ前を向いたまま未来がつぶやく。

開かれた窓の向こう　
丘の上に巨大な風車がいくつも見える。

「今は、水力と風力と太陽光と地熱と潮力と････」
「人力発電！」

「････そうだな」

未来は怒ったように　
人力発電ブランコを漕ぎ続けている。

せっかくの休日なのに子どもは素直に遊べない。
老人も安楽に隠居できない。

どうしてこんなことになってしまったのか。
車輪のない家庭用人力発電自転車のペダルが重い。

Future Old Tale

"Once in a while, there was a thermal power plant."
I talk to my grandchild Mirai.

"It is a big building indeed,
we can not have such a big building anymore."

Just beside me, Mirai is swinging silently.
("Mirai" means "future" in Japanese)

"I have never seen it,
but it seems that there was a nuclear power plant
somewhere in the past."

"Yeah, it was written in a school textbook"

Mirai murms while keeping straight ahead.

Beyond the open window,
I see many huge windmills on the hill.

"Now, hydropower, wind power, sunlight,
geothermal power, tidal power ..."

"Human power generation!"
"... I see."

Mirai keeps rowing man power generating swings like angry.

Even though it is a precious holiday,
children can not play obediently.

The old man can not retire with ease.
Why has it become such a thing?

Household human-powered bicycle pedals without wheels
are heavy.
