The work is really enjoyable!
Six months have passed, and I can honestly say that I wake up each morning highly motivated. It’s a remarkable experience, one that I’ve never had before, and it even surpasses my highest expectations. Before joining MODE, I was worried about working in a US-based startup. But none of those worries came true.
Why is it fun?
It's fun to take on new challenges with people who share the same passion for building new businesses
I've always had a passion for new business ventures and have been doing it for a long time. Working at MODE is fulfilling because we have so much autonomy in finding the right solution. Our clients include individuals from various backgrounds, such as those driving new business initiatives in large corporations, others from digital transformation departments seeking to adopt new technologies, and even startup entrepreneurs. Collaborating with our clients, experimenting together, and moving towards our common goals brings great joy and satisfaction.
The excitement of being in a fast-paced environment
In my previous companies, the approval process was lengthy, leading to exhaustion from coordinating with our internal stakeholders. There are challenges every day at MODE, but it's great to have supportive co-workers with whom I can consult and bounce ideas off. Having discussions with Gaku, CEO of MODE, and Satoshi, VP of Business, who are both hands-on, allows us to take swift action. When we brainstorm and come up with ideas, we can implement and test them right away, making adjustments as we go.
There is a strong sense of camaraderie
The members at MODE can only be summed up in one word: "amazing"! Each team member embodies not only an optimistic outlook but also a high level of professionalism. They all have qualities that I admire and respect, making it easy to work together even when we have disagreements. However, I believe this could be partly because we are still a small group. In just six months since I joined, the team has grown by 1.5 times. I want to ensure that we maintain this strong sense of camaraderie as we continue to grow.
My goals and the company’s goals are aligned
The company’s growth and success have become synonymous with my own personal growth and success. I have ownership of the tasks at hand, so I have a sense of duty to tackle the challenges head-on. As a Sales Manager, I set ambitious targets, and I have the determination to achieve them no matter what. At MODE, I’m fully committed to them as my own personal goals, and I have confidence that I can make it happen with the amazing team members that I work with.
I’ve always been mindful of the words, “Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life.” I finally feel like I’ve arrived at an environment where I can truly put this into practice.
In Closing
I’ve had a great and enjoyable six months. With many new team members joining in the coming months, I want to work together with them in a way that they can feel the same sense of fulfillment as I do. Let’s create an exciting environment where we can all thrive.
