今日のゲームの感想 Memphis vs Miami

これから少しずつ、ゲームの感想をアウトプットしていこうと思い立ったので始めていきたいと思います。

では本題へ！

まず Memphis の Ja  Morant がハンドリングが素晴らしくて、左手のワンハンドパスの質が非常に高いと思います。

Memphis has a great point guard Ja Morant who has great ball manipulation and can pass with only left hand with looking. Also his left hand pass skill is great as well as right one.

これは本当にディフェンスからすると厄介なことで、Pick & Roll の時などにローテーションの予測ができません。遅れるし、なんと言っても疲れます。

It makes opponent defenses difficult. For instance, if offense uses pick and roll, you can’t prospect whom Ja is going to pass. You might be late to contest or close out and also it make you tired. 

Memphis のオフェンスの第一選択は一貫してJa 選手のです。まずそこから始まりますが、これが問題でJa 選手はスキルは高いし身体能力は高いし視野は広いし体の当て方も上手いと、なんでもできます。ここまでのガードの選手はNBAでもそう多くありません。

Memphis’s first option is almost always Ja’s pick and roll. Because of Ja’s great ball handling, physical ability and peripheral vision. There is not so many players who has same level ability as well as him.

しかし、それが理由で周りの選手は待ってるだけでいい。他のガードだったら引きつける能力がここまで高くないので、待っていたらローテーションが簡単でフリーにはなれない。

but, for the other players, it is a little problem. Because if the point guard of this team were not Ja, he couldn’t make spaces as well as him and rotation might be so much easier and they might not be open.

Memphis のオフェンスは一貫して動かない。なのでオフェンスでは高い位置、フリスローラインよりも上、もっというとスリーのトップの位置より高いところから仕掛けていく確率が非常に高い。

They almost always starts attacking to the hoop from down town because they don’t move before receive the ball. 

速攻の場面でも、ガードの人間がゴールまで走って、そこからスウィングしたりして動くことはしない。

Also in transition, guard players don’t run to the hoop and then go to the opposite side.

再開したばかりとかではなくてシーズン通して動かないので、僕の意見としてはヘッドコーチが介入していくべきだと思う。

It’s not that NBA has just restarted the season. This is the consecutive aspect of this team from before the season stopped. I think the head coach should change. 

自分の前にディフェンスがいる時はもう真っ先にコーナーにゆっくり向かっていくガード人の選手。特にSGとSFの選手。これは上位陣には通用しないと踏んでいる。シーズン終了後にどうなっているか、僕の予想が当たるかも含めてここに書き記しておきたい。

If a defense is already in the paint, especially SG and SF players go the corner first which will be probably problem in the game with higher team. Let’s see how it goes the end of the season and my prospect is going to be correct or fault.

また、これだけ点差が離れているのに、渡辺選手が出てこなかったのは悲しい。内部にいないのであくまで個人の考えだけど、渡辺選手は2way なので全くNBAのレベルにないわけではないと思う。Memphis のヘッドコーチは人を育てるという面では試合をどう捉えているのか、疑問に思う。

I’m disappointed for that Yuta Watanabe didn’t play even it was huge difference. I’m not inside of the team so this is my individual idea but Yuta is a 2way player so he is not at the level that he destroys the game in this situation.  I wonder what he thinks about bringing players up in games.

正直、4Q後半は選手はだれて点差は縮められていたし、ここから出て一人の責任で敗戦に転じるようなら、渡辺選手はＧリーグでもプレイできてないはず。選手起用に積極性がないと感じる。

In the 4th quarter, players were little lazy, and if Yuta destroyed the game, he wouldn’t be on the bench. The coach is not active to play young players.

若くてもCeltics の Brad Stevens の方が、Gリーグのプレイヤーを積極的に起用していて、なおかつ選手が成長しているように感じる。これはヘッドコーチの責任の一つと私は考える。

Brad Stevens is young but, in my opinion, he’s active to play young players form G league and the players are growing up. This is the responsibility of head coaches. 

マイアミの問題点(Miami's problem)

Miami はPick and roll のディフェンスを頑張って入るけれど後手に回っている。Screaner のディフェンスがいつも同じなので Ja は予測できるし、余裕を持てる。

Miami's defense in the pick and roll situation was one step behind. The reactions of the screener defense were always same so Ja could prospect and stay calm.

個人的にはもう2つくらいの選択肢を設けて、どうするかは選手間に任せる。コート上のリーダーにリズム変えたい時に、選択を変えることだけ言っておく。

In my opinion, they should have other 1 or 2 option, for example, hard show or trap etc., and the leader on the court can choose or change when they change the rhythm of the game.

オフェンスは全員の合わせの動きがいいので、チームでフリーを作れている。

ただ、Miami は真面目なexecution（言われたこと、チームコンセプトを確実に遂行する） が特徴的だけど、ところどころ単調なシュートを打ってしまったりと、勝てないチームの特徴が出ている。ボールをスウィングすること、スウィングに合わせて動くことがとてもマッチしているし、ボールが動いている時は、最後までイージーショットを作る事を全員が意識している。しかしそれを帳消しにしてしまうミスと単調なシュートが多い。

In the offense, they made wide open with all players movings. However their execution was good but they sometimes shot early or missed layups which is the feature of the weak team. They swing the ball a lot and moved with the ball and they aimed easy shot until the very end. But that mistakes or early shot destroyed it.

またディフェンスのPick up が甘い。ボールを止める事がまずできていない。

レイアップをうたれていないなくても、ペイントエリアに入られたり、ペイント外でも自由にボールをコントロールしていたら、それはボールを止めたとは言わない。後ろから走ってくるプレイヤーを自由に見れてなおかつ自分もドライブを狙っていて、そういうガードの状態を放置している。

And also their defense in transition was not good. They didn't stop the ball.

If they didn't make a layup, that doesn't mean you stopped the ball. For example, they penetrated or they controlled the ball and had a wide sight to make a easy assist etc. They just left the opponent PG who aimed to attack to the hoop or pass to the trailer.

速いリズムを一旦止める、ハーフのオフェンスに移ろうと Memphis の選手が思っていない。これはボールを止めたことにはならない。

Players of Memphis didn't think about stopped the fast rhythm and move to half court offense. It doesn't mean you stopped the ball.

3Qが特に特徴的で個人の能力でバスケットをする集団はトランジションバスケに滅法強い。理由はトランジションのもとでは、もともとインラインに対してズレが生じているので、個人の能力が活かしやすい。攻めでリズムも生まれるので、どんどん相手を飲み込んでいく。

It was really clear in the 3rd quarter. Memphis offense relied on individual ability and that kind of team is good at transition. Because defenses can't be on the in-line so Memphis players were able to fully use their ability, which created their rhythm or momentum.

Miamiはこれに飲まれて点差が開いたように感じる。こうなってしまうと、単調なオフェンスでも点を次々と取ってしまうので敗戦濃厚になる。

That rhythm expanded differences and in that situation Memphis players can make shot even it's early.

正直にいうと Erik Spoelstra がこうしたバスケを展開していくとは思っていなかった。Big3で優勝したときのバスケットは割と自由な印象だったけど、堅実に基本の動きでバスケを5人ですることを今は主体にしているように見える。ここに Jimmy の爆発力をどう組み込んでいくか、今後楽しみにしたい。

To be honest, I didn't imagine Erik Spoelstra makes players play this kind of offense. In the era of Big 3 who made back to back, I didn't have the image of this type of offense but now they plays with good fundamental move and execution. I'm looking forward to how Jimmy fits in this system.
