2024年2月22日の東京株式市場で日経平均株価が史上最高値を更新した。終値は前日比836円（2%）高い3万9098円だった。企業の稼ぐ力の回復や脱デフレの期待などを背景に海外マネーが流入した。バブル期の1989年12月29日につけたこれまでの最高値（3万8915円）を上回り、初めて3万9000円台にのせた。

The Nikkei Stock Average reached an all-time high on the Tokyo stock market on February 22, 2024. The closing price was 39,098 yen, 836 yen (2%) higher than the previous day. Foreign money flowed into the market on the back of a recovery in corporate earning power and expectations of an end to deflation. The market surpassed its previous high (38,915 yen), which was reached on December 29, 1989, during the bubble period, and reached the 39,000 yen level for the first time.
