詩「平日の午後」

そんなに
寂しそうな背中を見せないで
平日の水族館の
クラゲの水槽の前で

そんなに
悲しそうな横顔を見せないで
平日の動物園の
アザラシの檻の前で

そんなに
寂しそうに笑わないで
悲しそうに笑わないで
何もできないボクの前で

空ばかり見上げてしまう
届きやしないのに
夢ばかり追いかけてしまう
叶いやしないのに

平日の午後
もうボクらに居場所はない
言葉もいらないほど
会いすぎました

Don't show me
such a lonely back,
in front of the jellyfish tank
at the weekday aquarium.

Don't show me
such a sorrowful profile,
in front of the seal enclosure
at the weekday zoo.

Don't smile
so sadly, so forlornly,
when you're standing before me,
helpless as I am.

I keep looking up at the sky,
though it’s out of reach.
I keep chasing dreams,
though they’ll never come true.

On a weekday afternoon,
there's no place left for us.
We’ve met so often,
words are no longer needed.
